Description
This Chicken Broccoli Stir-Fry is your go-to 25-minute dinner—loaded with tender chicken, crisp broccoli, and a sweet-savory garlic sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights and better than takeout!
Ingredients
▢ 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
▢ 3 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
▢ 1/4 cup soy sauce
▢ 2 tablespoons honey
▢ 1 tablespoon sesame oil
▢ 3 cloves garlic, minced
▢ 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
▢ 2 teaspoons cornstarch
▢ 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
▢ 1 tablespoon neutral oil (for stir-frying)
▢ 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
▢ 2 green onions, chopped
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch. Set aside.
2. Cut chicken breast into bite-sized chunks.
3. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Stir-fry chicken for 5–7 minutes, until fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
4. Add broccoli florets to the same pan. Stir-fry for 3–5 minutes until just tender. Add a splash of water if needed.
5. Return chicken to the pan. Pour in the sauce and stir until thickened and everything is well coated.
6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve hot with rice or noodles.
Notes
• For a gluten-free version, use tamari instead of soy sauce.
• Frozen broccoli works great—just add a splash of water and cover briefly to steam.
• Double the sauce if you love it extra saucy.
