About Us

Welcome to our little corner of the kitchen world, where four women from across the U.S. found each other through shared passions: feeding people, honoring traditions, and making everyday meals something to celebrate. We come from different places—Texas, Louisiana, Minnesota, and California—but what connects us is a love for honest food, warm stories, and helping folks feel at home in the kitchen.

It all started with a few recipe swaps, some friendly Instagram messages, and a whole lot of “oh girl, you’ve got to try this.” Over time, our individual journeys intertwined into a genuine friendship and a growing community. We’ve each burned a few things along the way, juggled kids and deadlines, and discovered that the magic isn’t in perfection. It’s in showing up with love (and maybe a little butter).

Together, we are here for the messy counters, the sweet moments, the failed first tries, and the recipes that turn into traditions. Whether you’re just starting out, feeding picky little ones, or trying to fall back in love with cooking, we’ve got you. Meet the women behind the apron strings:

Nova (Texas)

I’m Nova, 43, born and raised under the wide skies of Amarillo, Texas. I didn’t go to culinary school, but I learned everything I know in my mama’s kitchen and through years of cooking for church potlucks and family barbecues. These days, I live outside of Austin with my husband and our two dogs, sharing Southern comfort recipes with bold flavors and big heart. Teaching home cooks lights me up, and if you need a cheerleader while you tackle your first brisket or gumbo, I’m your gal.

Jolene Thibodeaux (Louisiana)

Hey y’all! I’m Jolene, 39, a busy mama of three from Lafayette, Louisiana, where gumbo is always on the stove and beignets are never too far off. I teach easy, soulful Cajun recipes for real life because I know what it’s like to juggle dinner and homework at the same time. If you’ve ever burned a roux or made crunchy rice, don’t worry, I’ve done it too. Let’s get in the kitchen and make something tasty without the stress.

Maggie Rae (Minnesota)

Hi there! I’m Maggie, 36, from a small town in Minnesota where the ovens run year-round and cookies are a love language. I’m a self-taught home baker, mama of two, and firm believer that every day is worth celebrating with something warm and homemade. I focus on beginner-friendly baking, like banana bread, soft rolls, cinnamon buns, and simple comfort bakes that fit into real life. If the smell of vanilla calms your chaos, we’re already friends.

Tessa Lane (California)

Hey! I’m Tessa, 34, coming to you from sunny Sacramento, California. I’m a working mom, flavor-chaser, and lover of fuss-free meals that still feel special. My style blends West Coast freshness with family-friendly twists, like sheet pan dinners, quick pastas, and modern takes on the classics. I’m all about helping you make magic in under 30 minutes with whatever’s already in your fridge. Let’s keep it real and really good.

We’re so glad you’re here. Grab a mug, settle in, and let’s cook something that brings joy to your table.
