Ingredients
**Cake:**
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
**Crumb Topping:**
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
**Cinnamon Drizzle:**
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
3. In a large mixing bowl, cream softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla extract.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
6. Fold in the chopped apples until evenly distributed.
7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
8. In another bowl, mix brown sugar, oats, flour, and chopped nuts. Add melted butter and stir until crumbly.
9. Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the cake batter.
10. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
11. While the cake cools slightly, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and cinnamon to make the drizzle.
12. Drizzle over the slightly cooled cake and serve.
