Description
This Creamy Ground Beef Stroganoff is a rich and comforting dish made with tender beef, savory mushrooms, and a luscious sour cream sauce—all served over egg noodles. A quick weeknight classic with old-school flavor!
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
1 cup beef broth
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
2 cups egg noodles
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef for 5–7 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease.
2. Add chopped onions and sliced mushrooms. Sauté for 3–5 minutes until onions are soft and mushrooms are tender.
3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute until fragrant.
4. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for about 5 minutes to reduce slightly.
5. Lower the heat to low, then stir in sour cream until creamy and well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. While sauce simmers, cook egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain.
7. Serve stroganoff over noodles and garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
For extra richness, use full-fat sour cream.
Cremini mushrooms work beautifully for a deeper flavor.
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge and reheated gently on the stove.
