  • Author: Nova
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

This Fresh Italian Caprese Salad is the perfect showcase of summer’s best ingredients — juicy tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, fresh basil, and a drizzle of rich balsamic glaze. It’s vibrant, refreshing, and takes just 10 minutes to make. Perfect for picnics, dinner parties, or a quick weekday lunch.

Ingredients

Scale

3 large ripe tomatoes, sliced 1/4-inch thick

8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced 1/4-inch thick

1/4 cup fresh basil leaves

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1 tablespoon balsamic glaze

Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Slice the tomatoes and mozzarella into 1/4-inch rounds.

2. On a serving platter, alternate and layer the tomato slices and mozzarella slices in a circular or row pattern.

3. Tuck fresh basil leaves in between the layers.

4. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic glaze.

5. Sprinkle with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.

6. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, use room temperature tomatoes and mozzarella.

Optional: add a sprinkle of flaky sea salt or a touch of garlic powder.

If you don’t have balsamic glaze, reduce balsamic vinegar in a small saucepan until thickened.
