Description

Halloween Crack is the ultimate spooky-season treat—sweet, salty, crunchy, and decked out in festive candies and sprinkles. It’s quick to make and totally addictive!

Ingredients

▢ Saltine crackers – about 1 sleeve (40 crackers)

▢ 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter

▢ 1 cup packed brown sugar

▢ 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

▢ ½ cup Halloween candies (like mini M&Ms, chopped candy corn)

▢ Halloween sprinkles (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and spray with non-stick spray.

2. Arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet, edge to edge.

3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the brown sugar and bring to a rolling boil. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

4. Immediately pour the caramel mixture over the crackers and spread evenly.

5. Bake for 5–7 minutes, until the caramel is bubbly and golden.

6. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the hot caramel. Let sit for 2–3 minutes.

7. Use a spatula to gently spread the melted chocolate into an even layer.

8. While chocolate is still soft, sprinkle with Halloween candies and festive sprinkles.

9. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until completely set.

10. Break into pieces and serve or store in an airtight container.

Notes

• Use parchment paper for easy cleanup and removal.

• Switch up the toppings with crushed pretzels, toffee bits, or colored candy melts.

• Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 1 week.
