Description

Fun, spooky, and super simple—these Halloween Mini Pizzas are a hit with kids and adults alike. Perfect for Halloween dinner or party snacks!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Pizza Sauce:

1 (28-ounce) can whole tomatoes, drained

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon white wine vinegar

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

For the Mini Halloween Pizzas:

3 (10-inch) flour tortillas

2 teaspoons olive oil

4 slices mozzarella cheese

1 slice cheddar cheese

4 large black olives

1/4 cup prepared pizza sauce

2 tablespoons shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

1. Place drained tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, vinegar, and oregano in a food processor. Blend until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.

2. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a large baking sheet with non-stick foil.

3. Cut six 4½–5-inch circles from tortillas. Brush both sides with olive oil and toast in a skillet until golden (2–3 minutes per side). Transfer to baking sheet.

4. Cut spooky shapes from cheese slices: ghosts, mummies, and jack-o’-lanterns. Slice olives for eyes, spiders, and details.

5. Spread 2 teaspoons of pizza sauce on each tortilla. Add shredded mozzarella to one of them.

6. Bake for 6 minutes in the oven.

7. Remove and decorate: build a spider with olives on the cheesy one, and place ghost, mummy, and pumpkin faces on the others.

8. Return to oven for 1–2 minutes, just until the cheese starts to melt.

9. Serve warm and enjoy the Halloween fun!

Notes

Tip 1: Homemade pizza sauce can be made in advance and stored for up to 5 days in the fridge.

Tip 2: You can also use mini naan or pita rounds if preferred.

Tip 3: Let the kids help decorate their own spooky pizza faces—it’s messy fun with delicious results!
