Description
This Monster Mac and Cheese is a frightfully fun twist on a classic! Bright green, ultra-creamy, and topped with candy eyeballs, it’s the perfect Halloween meal for kids, parties, or a spooky movie night dinner.
Ingredients
1 box macaroni and cheese (your favorite brand)
1/4 cup milk
3 tablespoons butter
Green food coloring
1 cup candy eyes
Instructions
1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
3. Add the milk and cheese packet from the mac and cheese box. Stir until smooth and creamy.
4. Add the cooked pasta to the cheese sauce and mix to combine.
5. Stir in a few drops of green food coloring until the mac and cheese reaches your desired “monster” color.
6. Fold in candy eyes gently and serve warm.
Notes
Add food coloring slowly — a few drops go a long way.
Candy eyes can be found in most baking aisles around Halloween.
Best served fresh for the cheesiest, creepiest effect.
