Ingredients
▢ 1 pound ground beef
▢ 1 pound ground turkey
▢ ¾ cup breadcrumbs
▢ 1 large egg
▢ ½ cup finely chopped onion
▢ 2 cloves garlic, minced
▢ ¼ cup milk
▢ 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
▢ 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
▢ 1 teaspoon salt
▢ ½ teaspoon black pepper
▢ 3 cups tomato-based meatball sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, milk, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined—don’t overmix.
2. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
3. Place the meatballs into the slow cooker in an even layer.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together your favorite tomato-based meatball sauce.
5. Pour the sauce over the meatballs, making sure they are mostly submerged.
6. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the meatballs reach an internal temp of 165°F (74°C) and the sauce is thickened.
7. Serve hot over pasta, rice, or as sliders. Enjoy!
Notes
• You can use all beef or all turkey if preferred.
• Great for meal prep—freeze extras for quick future meals.
