Method
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Slice butter into pieces and add to a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Place the baking dish in the oven while it preheats to melt the butter.
- Remove the baking dish from the oven once the butter is melted.
- Add blueberries, granulated sugar, and lemon zest to a bowl and stir to combine.
- In a separate bowl, stir together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir milk into the dry ingredients just until combined.
- Pour the blueberries over the melted butter in the baking dish.
- Drizzle the batter evenly over the blueberries.
- Sprinkle the top lightly with ground cinnamon.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until lightly golden on top.
- Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.
Notes
Store leftover cobbler covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 to 4 days and reheat before serving. This cobbler is delicious served warm with vanilla ice cream or fresh whipped cream.
