Dumpling Lasagna

Ingredients
  

  • 20-24 frozen dumpling wrappers or gyoza wrappers
  • 1 lb ground beef or chicken
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • fresh basil for finishing

Method
 

  1. Brown the ground beef or chicken with minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Drain any excess fat from the cooked meat.
  3. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the base of a baking dish.
  4. Layer dumpling wrappers flat to cover the base, slightly overlapping.
  5. Add a layer of cooked meat, dollops of ricotta, marinara sauce, and shredded mozzarella.
  6. Repeat the layering process twice.
  7. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes until bubbling and golden.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3–4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Serve with a simple green salad or crusty bread for a complete meal.
