Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter softened (2 sticks)
  • 2.5 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C) and grease a bundt pan.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  4. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the batter, alternating with buttermilk.
  6. Stir in the vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 60–75 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool before slicing.
