Lemon Berry Trifle Cups

Bright, creamy, and layered with pure comfort in every bite—these little trifle cups bring together sweet cake, tangy lemon, and juicy berries in the easiest way possible. No fancy skills needed here, just simple mixing and layering.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups pound cake or vanilla cake cut into cubes
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • lemon zest from 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries or mango diced
  • lemon curd optional, for layering
  • whipped cream for topping

Method
 

  1. Beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, lemon zest, and lemon juice until smooth and creamy.
  2. Whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks in a separate bowl.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the lemon mixture.
  4. Add a layer of cake cubes to the bottom of each dessert cup.
  5. Spoon a layer of lemon cream over the cake.
  6. Add a layer of blueberries and diced fruit.
  7. Add a thin layer of lemon curd if using.
  8. Repeat the layers until the cups are full.
  9. Finish with whipped cream and top with extra blueberries, fruit, and lemon zest.
  10. Chill for 1–2 hours before serving.

Notes

Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days. These are best served chilled and pair nicely with coffee or tea for an easy, comforting dessert.
