Method
- Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear the chicken for 2–3 minutes per side until lightly golden.
- Transfer the chicken to the slow cooker.
- Whisk together chicken broth, heavy cream, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan cheese.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken, cover, and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 2½–3 hours until tender.
- Stir in cream cheese during the last 20 minutes if using.
- Spoon the sauce over the chicken and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
Notes
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3–4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the creamy sauce.
