Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup white sugar or to taste
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 3 cups seeded watermelon cubed

Method
 

  1. Gather all ingredients.
  2. Combine sugar, water, and lemon juice in a saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Cook and stir until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes.
  4. Remove sugar mixture from heat and refrigerate until cooled, about 30 minutes.
  5. Blend watermelon in a blender or food processor until pureed.
  6. Stir pureed watermelon into cooled sugar mixture.
  7. Transfer watermelon mixture to an ice cream maker.
  8. Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions, about 20 minutes.
  9. Serve and enjoy.

Notes

Store leftover Watermelon Sorbet in a tightly sealed freezer-safe container for up to 3 months. Let the sorbet sit briefly at room temperature before scooping if frozen solid. Serve with fresh fruit, simple salads, or grilled meals for a refreshing warm-weather dessert.
