Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 21 ounce can cherry pie filling

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 275 degrees F (135 degrees C). Place butter in a 9x13-inch baking dish and set it on the oven rack to melt.
  2. Mix together flour, sugar, and baking powder in a medium bowl.
  3. Stir milk into the dry ingredients until combined.
  4. Remove the baking dish from the oven once the butter has melted.
  5. Pour batter into the baking dish over the melted butter without stirring.
  6. Pour cherry pie filling evenly into the dish without stirring.
  7. Increase oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  8. Bake until the fruit is bubbling and the cobbler is golden on top, 50 to 60 minutes.

Notes

Store leftover cobbler covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 to 4 days. Serve warm on its own or paired with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra comforting dessert.
