Method
- Preheat the oven to 275 degrees F (135 degrees C). Place butter in a 9x13-inch baking dish and set it on the oven rack to melt.
- Mix together flour, sugar, and baking powder in a medium bowl.
- Stir milk into the dry ingredients until combined.
- Remove the baking dish from the oven once the butter has melted.
- Pour batter into the baking dish over the melted butter without stirring.
- Pour cherry pie filling evenly into the dish without stirring.
- Increase oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Bake until the fruit is bubbling and the cobbler is golden on top, 50 to 60 minutes.
Notes
Store leftover cobbler covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 to 4 days. Serve warm on its own or paired with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra comforting dessert.
